Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Knowledge Hub Library and Archival System Formation

Project Ongoing

The primary objective of this assignment is to set up a library at the Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Knowledge Hub. The support includes - establishment of the physical library acquiring development literature and BRAC Publications, creating a list of resources, setting up an integrated library system, establishing an Institutional repository, assisting in the recruitment of library professionals as required, professional training for project staffs during project implementation, a data repository for storing and sharing research data, and a technical support for maintenance.

Memorondum of Understanding Between Asian University for Women (AUW) and Ayesha Abed Library, BRACU

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) sets forth the terms and conditions under which Aysha Abed Library, BRAC University shall Provide technical support to Asian University for Women for the installation, configuration, customization, training, and implementation of the VuFind Discovery System at AUW Library. This collaboration aims to enhance AUW Library's digital access and discovery capabilities through BRAC University library's technical expertise in VuFind system implementation.

Social Transformation in Bangladesh

Pathways, Challenges and The Way Forward

On Thursday, 21st August 2025, the Department of Economics and Social Sciences organized a book launch program at the Learning Stairs in the Ayesha Abed Library. The title of the book was “Social Transformation in Bangladesh: Pathways, Challenges and The Way Forward” edited by Dr. Shahidur Rahman and Dr. Masud Kamal. The program was moderated by Dr. Wasqiur Rahman Khan, and Dr. Syed M. Hashemi participated as the book discussant. The event concluded smoothly after an engaging Q&A session.

Turnitin Session Conducted by Ayesha Abed Library

Turnitin Deep Dive: From Similarity Reports to AI Detection and Beyond

Mr. Amit Pal, the Resource Person from Turnitin, conducted a session on "Turnitin Deep Dive" on August 14 at 11:00 AM in the Digital Scholarship Lab. He demonstrated user management, creation of classes and assignments, generation of similarity reports, AI detection reports, reviewing submissions, and other Turnitin solutions. The session provided a valuable opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and capabilities to support academic integrity.
