Ayesha Abed Library, Brac University, in collaboration with Elsevier is organizing a webinar titled “Accelerate your research using Elsevier’s Scopus” for James P Grant School of Public Health on September 29th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The agenda of this webinar is to spread awareness about Scopus which has been subscribed by Brac University for all its users as it is helpful in improving research skills. Scopus is the world’s largest abstract and indexing platform of peer-reviewed literature having content from more than 7000 publishers and is a trusted source of information and data for top ranking agencies like THE and QS World rankings.
The webinar will include topics around:

• Understanding Editor's mindset to improve chances of article acceptance.
• Research Metrics (Journal/Author/Article)
• Strategies to find the most relevant journals to read and publish in

The speaker for the event is Mr. Vishal Gupta, Senior Customer Consultant, from Elsevier.
Mr. Gupta has 14 years of work experience in domains of biotechnology, publishing and data analytics. Currently he is working with Elsevier as Senior Customer Consultant-South Asia where he is responsible for supporting Scopus/ScienceDirect/Mendeley users in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. His major responsibilities include: Engaging with ministries and Key consortiums. Vishal is a certified presenter for Author Workshops and a level 3 certified Mendeley trainer.
