Ayesha Abed Library, Brac University, in collaboration with Elsevier is organizing an in-person live session for the research community of BRAC University on the topic “Understanding research metrics and Finding relevant journals to read and publish in” from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Thursday, 30th June 2022 at Building-2, Ground Floor, BRAC University Auditorium.
 
The topics covered during the session would be:
 
  • Identifying Research Issues
  • Research Metrics and their significance
  • Understanding Editor’s Mindset.Tips and Tricks to finding journals to read and publish your article
  • How to shortlist the most relevant journals as per your article contents
  • Using Scopus to scout for journals
  • How to accurately confirm if a journal is currently Scopus Indexed or not

Mr. Vishal Gupta, Senior Customer Consultant at Elsevier, shall be the speaker of the session. 
 
 
Mr. Vishal Gupta is a Senior Customer Consultant at Elsevier based in New Delhi-India and has a relevant work experience of more than 15 years in this industry. Vishal is an Elsevier certified Author Workshop presenter and a level 3 certified Mendeley trainer. Vishal specializes in themes around research planning, execution & evaluation, reference management, and improving research visibility using Elsevier tools and databases. To date, he has conducted more than 350 presentations across India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh training over 400,000 researchers and faculty. Vishal is multilingual and can speak English, Bengali, Hindi, and Punjabi fluently.
