Metabolic disorders such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases and cancer have become a major global health concern accounting for significant morbidity and mortality rates. Although genetic factors largely contribute to these disorders, emerging evidence suggests that epigenetic modifications also play a crucial role in the development and progression of metabolic disorders.
