Includes bibliographical references (page 85). Handloom, the custom of hand-weaving clothing is one of the finest features of Bangladeshi craft and culture. It is historically the greatest rural industry in Bangladesh and contributes significantly to the national economy. However, due to a wide range of issues and constraints, the skill of handloom weaving is on the verge of extinction. As a result, many weavers, who play a crucial role in the country's handloom sector's growth, are compelled to leave their job. Many of them are denied basic fundamental rights as well as living salaries. As a result, the few that remain do not want their children to further continue this profession. The traditional handloom is currently confronted with a glorious past, a complicated present, and an uncertain future - regrettably crawling towards extinction. This paper discusses the strategy selected to help the community of weavers by taking inspiration from the past and adapting it for the future, thereby increasing its potential. It functions as a self-contained institution that benefits the entire complex as a whole. Inaba Sadaf B.
