Cataloged from PDF version of thesis. Includes bibliographical references (page 68). The paper is an attempt to understand major characteristics of an Eco resort. Which will serve as not just a typical apartment resort but to create language with nature. The site is in Daripara which is in Gazipur a village area and has a strong influence of the surrounding nature. In this paper the functional flows, zoning and vital characteristics of an eco-resort has been showed through few case studies. The main focus of the resort is to create an inviting environment to attract tourists and to provide recreational facilities such as yoga and spa center, indoor games, open deck and other outdoor activities as people will be more engaged with nature. There are already so many resorts in Gazipur where people spend their time in their vacations so that also was a concern how to design the resort in a more unique way to attract tourists to choose that particular resort. Therefore, throughout the design the relation between the waterbody and the connection with ground was the focus point which played a vital role for the views from the suites. To conclude the paper is about all the design considerations taken based on the site and the surroundings of the site by also keeping the locally available materials in mind and create a peaceful sound environment of an eco-resort.
