Among the multiple education systems that exist in Bangladesh’s primary education sector, the major two, the government and the non-government educational institutions hold the majority of students. Apart from having differences in infrastructure, curriculums, and teachers training methods, the practices of gender equality by the teachers inside their classrooms are also different. In the government primary school, the teachers often consider genders while making any decision. A common prejudice among them is that the female students are weaker and cannot handle any task properly. Therefore, male students often receive harsher punishment than females for any misconduct. On the other hand, the non-government primary school encourages female students to be more active in both the classroom and extracurricular activities. J M Saiful Islam M.
