Moller Maersk has been leading the logistics operations together with its other wing to shipping line globally. The focus has been on the logistics operations and challenges the company faces in Bangladesh and how it has been the back bone in the country’s trade as well as a general outline to show how they are thriving in the local market. I have tried to put forward some general knowledge about some logistics management activities performed by Maersk. There are certain factors that perpetuate the organization as one of the leading integrated logistics industry, Maersk group has the largest operating unit in Maersk Ocean with the most number of container ships globally, the supply chain department provides almost all different logistics solution to their customers and with its great network the company is still in the driving seat of logistics business. As a Senior Executive in SCM department I have witnessed how Maersk is always keen on continuous improvement and with its core values the company is very customer centric. I have highlighted focusing on how the overall logistics is operated in Bangladesh, some of its core activities, the constraints, some findings, and an overall recommendation. Aninda Saha M.
