Cataloged from PDF version of thesis report. Includes bibliographical references (pages 66-71). The corona virus had put the world at a halt. Everyone is going through a tough mental health condition. Non-therapeutic measures such social dancing and home quarantine also contributes to deteriorating mental health conditions of people. The purpose of this study was to carry out an online based survey based on the results of which we can identify the variables or reasons that have a significant effect on mental health. Exploratory data analysis was carried out with the data obtained using the R programing. The key findings were that the females are more prone to getting depressed. Increase in the use of internet during the pandemic causes more depression. People who got tested for COVID-19 were lesser depressed than those who did not. Younger population and lower educated people seemed to be more depressed than their other respective half’s. Knowing how many people were quarantined or dead during the COVID-19 pandemic has little impact on a person's depressed condition. Shihab Ud Dowla B.
