Cataloged from PDF version of thesis report. Includes bibliographical references (pages 30-42). Job stress and employee health are two closely associated topics. The following study was conducted upon reviewing publications from authentic sources. For assessment of job stress, various models such as Job Demand Control model, Effort Reward Imbalance model etc. were used in these journals. The connection of job stress with the health of employees was established by the Allostatic Load model. The authors study the literature objectively within an Allostatic Load setting, considering stress hormones, tension and anxiety as primary outcomes and blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index as secondary outcomes, as well as endpoints of cardiovascular disease, depression, mortality as tertiary outcomes. Various review articles were supportive of the association between job stress with cardiovascular diseases, depression, blood cortisol level, heart rate, anxiety disorders, body mass index and other health conditions. Some review articles did not show strong association between job stress and employee health such as relationship of job stress with diabetes and immune system has not yet been strongly established. Recommendations regarding how future research should be done in this section with the aim for the betterment of an individual’s well-being are also stated. Smarak Islam B.
