Cataloged from PDF version of thesis. Includes bibliographical references (pages 52-54). The objective of this work is to carry out a performance analysis of bifacial module based multilevel solar panel systems. The proposed system will occupy less space and harness more solar energy than the existing mono-facial based multilevel system for its use in urban areas. As bifacial module harnesses energy from the both side of the module, this needs special consideration to calculate the irradiation on back surface of the module. Different parameter i.e. view factor, albedo factor and additional energy yield for ground clearance are taken into consideration throughout the study. Results show that, proposed system gives significantly more power than the existing system which is 55.63%. Also seasonal cloud impact is considered in this study. Cloudy days impact the system electrical output 31.24% than the no cloud condition. Besides albedo dependency on the output of the system is observed.
