BRAC Bank Limited is one of the top-ranked commercial banks of Bangladesh which has been dominating and contributing to our country’s economy. BRAC Bank Limited is trying to focus on how to contribute more for the betterment of the country and “BRAC Bank TARA” is a new way to contribute for the monetary advancement of Bangladesh by empowering women. Since BRAC Bank TARA is a recently introduced service of BRAC Bank Limited, so I decided to work on this newly introduced service for my internship report. The topic of my internship report is “BRAC Bank TARA: Bridging the Gap between Women and Banking System” which focuses on the latest highlighted feature in the banking industry of Bangladesh. This report talks about this new service that is being offered by BRAC Bank Limited and the perspectives of the account holders of TARA. A survey is being conducted to find out whether the account holders think that this new project is contributing to reduce the gap between women of our country and the banking system by enhancing women’s confidence and their decision making capacity through better knowledge regarding access to banking or not. This report is divided into several parts as per the requirements of the internship report format. It contains an overview of BRAC Bank limited, its mission, vision, CSR activities etc. Then, I have tried to discuss in details about BRAC Bank TARA in this report and I conducted a survey with 100 account holders of TARA to do my research. Later on chapter 6, the research result has been analyzed by using the SPSS (Statistical package for the Social Sciences) software in order to get the analytical information for statistical part. After that major findings after analyzing the research have been put on. Finally, I provided some recommendations contingent to the findings of the report. Arani Zaman B.
